Stewed sauerkraut (sautēti kāposti), gently simmered with carrots 🥕, apples 🍏, and a touch of spice, buckwheat and mushroom 🍄‍🟫 rissoles (kotletes) that bring a hearty, earthy flavor, crisp on the outside and juicy inside, perfectly paired with oven-fried potatoes 🥔 and a smooth, garlicky 🧄 sauce.

To finish, we’ll share a traditional layered rye bread dessert (rupjmaizes kārtojums), with toasted dark rye bread crumbs, tangy berry preserve, and plant-based whipped cream coming together in a simple, nostalgic treat that feels just like home. 🥰
