KW Folkekøkken: Vegan Påskefrokost

Everyone knows about julefrokost, but did you know there’s also a påskefrokost? 🤔 Probably not unless you’re Danish! Join us next week to experience Danish tradition with a cozy Easter dinner lovingly prepared by our long-time volunteer chef, Lasse! 🇩🇰

He’ll be putting a delicious vegan twist on a traditional Danish April classic: fried herring with parsley sauce (stegt sild med persillesovs) made from tender aubergine 🍆, perfectly seasoned and crisped to perfection. 👌

It will be served with a creamy plant-based parsley sauce, buttery new potatoes 🥔, and bright steamed asparagus for that fresh spring touch. 🤩

And a true taste of the season: a sweet-tart rhubarb kompot to wash it all down, but everyone’s welcome to bring their own snaps (because what’s a proper Danish Easter dinner without a little cheers?). 🥂
