SPLEEN is piece which tries to deal with the theme of pain and how to channelise it rather then suppressing it.
With SPLEEN we are trying to search for an expression which is clear in emotional qualities, that is transparent, and where the composition is worked in parallel to the idea of a generous and caring conversation.
5 dancers will be presenting 5 individual solos which is reflective associations of different kind of channelising pain.
It is a collective gathering of performers and audience to deal with pain and uncover the hidden layers of it without the fear of being judged.
Today pain is a business? To treat pain, we want to be painless, pain free, always feel and stay comfortable. Could we create a space where these emotions are taken care of and where these emotions can be a driving force/motor for the body movement ?
SACRE brings out the effort we think we need to do. To effectively use the Narcissism hidden inside us, we need to get over the place where we feel we are just living to get more out of life.
In this version of the SACRE its not one which is the sacrifice for the whole society but each individual must sacrifice something.
Collectively both pieces are connected. If SPLEEN is the expression which is talking about pain, grief and sadness then SACRE is the Body’s effort to free it self from haziness and reach a sate of clarity.
