Superslow:
Etter å ha gitt ut singlane Time Bomb, Pyromaniacs, The End og 5AM, og spelt festivalgigs på 100 Dagar og Havstrøm, slapp Superslow endeleg sitt lenge etterlengta debutalbum i fjor mai, kalla I Feel Like It's Over. Albumet blei godt tatt imot av fans og presse, og imponerte mellom anna Bergens Tidende og Gaffa – førstnemnde gav dei terningkast 6!!
Men reisa er langt frå over! I år har vi allereie fått ny musikk frå rockebandet i form av singelen Freud's Last Dance, som har blitt rosa av Gaffa og Dagsavisen, og blei lista på P3, i tillegg til Stop Me og HALLWAYFIGHTSCENE.MOV/Psychological Warfare.
Etter at dei debuterte på NRK P3-listene med singelen Hello våren 2022, har Superslow verkeleg halde momentet oppe heile vegen. Faktisk var alle fem låtane frå debut-EPen, Mess, lista på NRK P3, i tillegg til at dei fekk massevis av spotplays på P13 og andre stasjonar. Totalt har dei blitt spelt meir enn 2000 gongar på norsk radio allereie! Dei har òg spelt på både Camp Øya og Øya Pride i tillegg til nokre mindre festivalar, og låtane frå debutplata har møtt massiv støtte både frå NRK P3, P13 og Urørt.
Superslow slår deg hardt i trynet heilt frå første riff. Ikkje lat namnet lure deg til å tru noko anna. Med tekstar om sjølvrealisering og forhold, pakka inn i fuzzy riffing og energiske toplines, nektar vi å tru at du kan motstå freistinga til å danse til dette. MINST bumpe litt! Dette er garasjerock inspirert av regnbogar, teikneseriar, kalddusjar og feiltrinn frå gutar i tjueåra.
Denne gjengen er klar for å blåse Rokken av banen i mai!

Det siste året har dei skrive ny musikk som krev å bli høyrt. Aller helst frå scena! Rykta seier at låtane får ein ny dimensjon når dei blir spelt live, og det er vanskeleg å halde kroppen i ro når dei rasar gjennom settet med høg bpm og rockegitar.
Dei lagar poprock med svære synther som gir eit nikk til både 80-talet, men det nye materialet lener òg mot tidleg 2000-tals emo! I lydbiletet kan ein høyre inspirasjon frå band som Paramore, The Killers og The Japanese House, som resulterer i musikk som er original, spanande og umiskjenneleg Cherry Cinema.
Blandinga mellom den dansbare musikken og kontemplative tekstar gir lyttarane ei heilt spesiell kjensle av at du ikkje er aleine om utfordringane som livet bringer, men at låtane framleis kan vere ein trygg plass å gå til for å riste laus. Cherry Cinema er her for deg anten du vil danse eller gråte.
28. mars kjem deira første låt for året, kalla Game Over, som kanskje er den hardaste låta dei har skrive. Og denne lovar dei å spele HØGT på Rokken i mai!

After releasing the singles Time Bomb, Pyromaniacs, The End, and 5AM, and playing festival gigs at 100 Dagar and Havstrøm, Superslow finally dropped their long-awaited debut album last May, titled I Feel Like It's Over. The album was well received by fans and the press, impressing Bergens Tidende and Gaffa – the former even gave them a top score of 6!!
But the journey is far from over! This year, we've already received new music from the rock band in the form of the single Freud's Last Dance, which has been praised by Gaffa and Dagsavisen, and was playlisted on P3, along with Stop Me and HALLWAYFIGHTSCENE.MOV/Psychological Warfare.
Since debuting on the NRK P3 charts with the single Hello in the spring of 2022, Superslow has truly kept the momentum going. In fact, all five tracks from their debut EP, Mess, were listed on NRK P3, in addition to receiving countless spot plays on P13 and other stations. They have already been played more than 2000 times on Norwegian radio! They have also performed at Camp Øya and Øya Pride, along with some smaller festivals, and the tracks from their debut album have received massive support from NRK P3, P13, and Urørt.
Superslow hits you hard right from the first riff. Don’t let the name fool you into thinking otherwise. With lyrics about self-discovery and relationships, wrapped in fuzzy riffs and energetic toplines, we refuse to believe you won’t be tempted to dance to this. At the very least, you’ll be nodding along! This is garage rock inspired by rainbows, comic books, cold showers, and missteps from guys in their twenties.
This crew is ready to blow Rokken away in May!

Over the past year, they’ve been writing new music that demands to be heard. Preferably from the stage! Rumor has it that their songs gain a new dimension when performed live, making it hard to stand still as they race through their set with high BPM and rock guitars.
They create pop-rock with big synths that nod to the '80s, but their new material also leans toward early 2000s emo! Their sound draws inspiration from bands like Paramore, The Killers, and The Japanese House, resulting in music that is original, exciting, and unmistakably Cherry Cinema.
The mix of danceable music and introspective lyrics gives listeners a unique feeling that they are not alone in the struggles life brings, while still providing a safe space to let loose. Cherry Cinema is here for you, whether you want to dance or cry.
On March 28th, they are dropping their first track of the year, called Game Over, which might be the hardest song they’ve ever written.
And they promise to play it LOUD at Rokken in May!
