Hireling is a dungeon exploration game about desperate everyday people in a semi-historical weird fantasy setting. Players are Hirelings hired by a big Hero to help explore a dungeon rumoured to contain both riches and ruin. Just when the game starts the Hero dies ingloriously. The Hirelings have a once-in-a-lifetime golden opportunity to ease their worries, and their only choice is to grit their teeth and delve into the dark.
----
Call of Cthulhu: Anthology
System: Call of Cthulhu
Genre: Mystery, investigation, horror, west marches
Players: 2-5
Language: Norsk/ English
Tools: Paper, pencil, eraser and dice
Gamemaster: Brunehilde
It’s the 1920s. The player characters are ordinary people of various backgrounds working for a recently established detective agency. This time they are hired to solve a murder in the English countryside. We begin the gaming session with making the player characters. If the character survives the scenario, they can return in the next scenario of Call of Cthulhu: Anthology.
Call of Cthulhu is a percentage-based system and uses d100 dice, although d4, d6, d8 and d12 are also used. The setting in Call of Cthulhu is a dark shadow of our own world. The player characters are ordinary people meeting otherworldly horrors. Here the focus is on investigation and mystery solving. Combat is deadly, and is very often a last resort. Rules will be explained. Beginners are welcome.
----
Pirate Borg
System: Pirate Borg (based on Mörk Borg)
Style: One-shot
Players: 3-5
Tools: D&D-dice (D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20)
Language: Norsk / English
Gamemaster: Konstantin
Dette spillet handler om å være en grådig, skitten slyngel. Finn et skip. Rekrutter mannskap. Raid, plyndre, ran og stjel alt det skrøpelige svarte hjertet ditt begjærer. Skaff deg et større skip. Drep noen greier. Oppgrader skipet ditt. Snik deg inn i et fort. Plyndre en havn. Skaff deg en skatt. Grav ned skatten. Bli beryktet. Let etter andres skatter. Flykt i panikk fra ufattelige skapninger fra dypet. Drikk opp all rommen. Dø på de åpne hav. Lag en ny karakter – og gjør det hele en gang til.
----
Vampire: The Masquerade (V5)
System: Vampire: The Masquerade (5th Edition)
Style: One-shot
Players: 1-4
Tools: Pen/Pencil, D10s
Language: Norsk / English
Gamemaster: Kim
In Vampire: The Masquerade, the players assume the role of vampires, immortal beings cursed with an unquenchable thirst for blood and vulnerability to sunlight – creatures forever bound to their inner Beast (the animal urges of hunger, fear and rage). It is a game of personal horror, as the characters are continually forced to walk a moral tightrope between their need to survive and the horrific means by which they ensure it.
----
Dungeons & Dragons - A night of Mask and Monsters
System: D&D 5E 2024 edition
Style: Non-Adventurers League one-shot
Level: 3
Tools: Pen/Pencil, RPG-dice (d4, d6, d8, 10, d%, d20)
Language: English only
Number of players: 3-5
In the city of Ibrido, locals enjoy a life of splendor and frivolity. Every week, a lavish party is held at the Castel di Maschera, hosted by the Marquis di Maschera, Prospero, who has a reputation for being a generous party-thrower and avid patron of the arts. Receiving an invitation to a Marquis di Maschera party is coveted, and those who enter his social circle never leave it.
But the Castel di Maschera holds many secrets. When a strange, hybrid creature — half bird, half man — is found brutally murdered in Ibrido’s city square, tattooed with the Marquis’s signature symbol of two masks, rumors have begun to spread throughout Ibrido that something more sinister may be occurring.
Did a Marquis di Maschera party simply get out of hand, or does a real danger threaten the inhabitants of Ibrido?
