Shopping X Poesy rings in the autumn crisp inviting Stella Explorer and Quartermaster, for the first time in Oslo presenting each their live set, all the way from Stockholm. There will be DJs from Shopping X Poesy and maybe a welcome song.
Stella Explorer
Stella Explorer's musical identity began taking shape in the experimental pop band Brödet, and has evolved through years of exploring her South African heritage and a lifelong search for melody. Raised in a musical household, she builds tracks from broken and borrowed instruments, weaving together other people’s stories with her own. She has collaborated with artists including Vilde Tuv, Quartermaster and Nordpolen, and with her two EPs Dorkay House and Lost Kingdom, both released on YEAR0001, she has built a distinct musical universe.
Quartermaster
Quartermaster is the solo project of Charles Eggers, who is also a member of Team Rockit and Chariot. The project was born out of a will to scale down the use of words and instead focus on melodic exorcises in polyphonic singing. 2 albums have been released on Swedish label Year0001, which featured collaborations with Vilde Tuv, Stella Explorer among others. More music is planned to come out later this year on the newly formed STANZA project led by Quartermaster and fellow artists Cotton Mouth and Merely.
ACCESSIBILITY
The nearest HC parking is approx. 40 meters from our entrance, see the Kiwi store in Møllergata. There is a lift in our entrance that can be used by wheelchair users. We have a HC toilet. Please contact us in advance to ensure the best possible arrangements.
